If you've read the book, this is the stuff Dewey and Suze were picking up and taking home as souvenirs in the last chapter.
If you haven't....
In July of 1945, the scientists working on the Manhattan Project tested the first atomic bomb in a remote section of New Mexico desert. The heat of the fireball was so intense that it melted 75 acres of sand into jade-green glass.
The glass was bulldozed in the late 1940s, and it's all gone -- to somewhere. Either its still classified, or no one alive knows. The area is now a National Monument, and is only open twice a year.
I have a few tiny pieces of the glass (acquired when I was researching the book) and one of them can be yours.
It will come in a display box, with an explanatory card.
Here's what it looked like when all of it was on the ground in 1945.
