Offered: One-of-a-kind original art doll from Goblinfruit Studio.
Nigel is an OOAK art doll inspired by Christina Rossetti’s poem, “The Goblin Market”. Sculpted with polymer clay, Nigel has glass eyes and is painted with acrylics. He stands 8”, has a wire armature enabling slight and gentle posing of his arms and legs, and is covered in faux fur. Nigel holds a removable platter (taken from a pocketwatch), filled with hand-sculpted polymer fruit. Created in 2009.
Carisa Swenson of Goblinfruit Studio has been creating curious creatures and aberrant animals since 2006. Her work can be found in galleries throughout the United States, and was published in Spectrum 17.
